Why I Bought It
This one is pretty straightforward.
We bought it last year for our college-age son to commute to George Mason University a couple days a week—about 15 miles each way. Beyond that, it really hasn’t been driven much. It had 125.9k miles when we bought it and now sits at 126.8k.
There’s no story here, and to be frank - that’s kind of the point.
It’s just a clean, well-kept Escape that is reliable, runs smooth, drives tight, and everything works as it should. No warning lights, issues, or quirks.
During our ownership, we’ve handled the following:
Brand new front brake pads, calipers, and rotors
New front struts
New front sway bar links and bushings
So the front end feels tight and solid. It’s the 4-cylinder—not the V6. And it’s in excellent shape overall. Very clean inside and out, especially for the age. Clearly used, but well cared for.
It also just passed a fresh Virginia safety inspection, and emissions are good through May 2027.
Bottom line—this isn’t a project, and it’s not something you need to “figure out.” It’s just a clean, reliable daily driver that’s ready to go.
I’m passing this one on to its next owner, and it’s available now for $6,499. Inquiries can be made through the original Facebook or Craigslist listing, or through the text or email links at the top and bottom of this page..
