I’ve always been a car guy, and I’ve had a love affair with clean, well-maintained daily drivers since I was a kid. The kind of cars that may not grab your attention, until you really look at them. And drive them. And live with them.

I started noticing how many of these cars are still out there — sitting in driveways, maybe needing some TLC, often overlooked, but ready to be pressed into service.

My one-owner 2000 Volvo V70 XC (to the left), with just 82,000 miles when I picked it up, or my Volkswagen Touareg ( in the “What’s come through” gallery below), a one-owner 2006 VR6 with over 200,000 miles, are just two examples of what I’m talking about.

This site is a place to document the ones I’ve found, the ones I’ve kept, and the ones I’ve eventually passed along. Just good, clean, solid cars that deserve another good owner.
